How do I start investment management with HHWS?
Schedule a call, share your current statements, and select a model portfolio that fits your risk, time horizon, and tax profile. We open accounts with our custodian, transfer assets, implement the strategy, and monitor with a clear Investment Policy Statement.

Do you provide tax planning?
Yes. We deliver tax‑aware planning and coordinate with your CPA on Roth conversions, tax‑loss harvesting, charitable strategies, business sale tax impact, gifting and legacy plans, and estate tax reduction by gifting or shifting. HHWS does not provide legal or tax advice. We collaborate with your professionals to execute.
What are your minimums and fees?
Wealth management by Harvest Horizon Wealth Strategies is service tier based. The level of service desired from and the fees assessed by HHWS and its advisors is determined based on the tier a client meets as well as the breakpoints a client meets. We are fee‑only, with transparent advisory fees for planning and asset management. We will share our current schedule during the discovery call.
Which custodians do you use?
Altruist Financial, LLC serves as HHWS sole-custodian.
Do you work virtually or in person?
Both. We meet in person at our Amery office, on-location visits for qualified clients in the Upper Midwest, and can serve clients nationwide by secure video. Documents can be handled electronically.
Do you work with Wisconsin municipalities under state statutes and local policies?
Yes. We advise within Wisconsin municipal requirements, including eligible instruments and depository rules. Guidance is based on Wis. Stat. § 66.0603 (“Investments”) and the municipality's Investment Policy Statement.
Do you serve farm and agricultural families?
Yes. We understand seasonal cash flow, equipment financing, land purchases, risk management, and succession for farm families. We coordinate retirement planning and multigenerational transfer strategies.
How do you build portfolios?
We manage proprietary model portfolios of ETFs, individual stock and bond positions, alternatives, and select SMAs when appropriate. Every client's strategy is mapped to a written Investment Policy Statement that defines selection, ranges, rebalancing, and monitoring.
How do I book a meeting in Amery?

Do you offer one‑time plans or project work?
Yes. When appropriate, we can provide fixed‑fee planning engagements/project work and hourly service. While our model is based on ongoing service and AUM-fee billing, if we believe you would be better served by a fixed-fee or hourly service, we will let you know and why.
What should I bring to the first meeting?
Recent investment - 401(k)/403(b)/IRA/Trust/Individual/Joint - and bank account - Checking/Saving/Money Market/CD - statements, 3 years of tax returns, insurance summaries, estate documents, existing financial plan, existing Investment Policy Statement, and a list of questions or goals. While you should have as much of this as possible, if you do not have everything handy, come anyway. We will build the checklist together.
How do you protect my privacy and data?
Secure client portals are provided by the custodian and the financial plan software, encrypted document sharing, and multi-factor authentication. We do not sell data. We work only with your explicit authorization.
